[The Glorious God Amaterasu™ was certainly not expecting to turn a corner and find herself in a completely different world. Or, well, to wake up from a nap and find herself someplace different, more accurately. Maybe she shouldn't have been sleeping on the job while restoring the Celestial Plain? Or she was having a weird dream. Or woke up from a dream. Either way, she didn't feel quite as powerful, the prayers and belief in her from home only barely reaching her.

But enough with the contemplation and moping! Ammy starts roaming around, burying her nose in things and taking food right off the shelves - even out of people's hands. No really, she's not a pig, she has to fill her Astral Pouch!

But she'll inevitably spend most of her day getting into trouble; eating food she shouldn't be taking, snatching something from someone in a fit of relentless curiosity, or just barking endlessly at someone. Bark bark bark.

[Cilan has a very hard time believing in the supernatural (especially when it comes to ghosts), but otherwise he has had little problem with most of the other-worldly creatures or spirits here that he's met so far. After meeting residents such as the traveler or Totoro, seeing a large wolf shouldn't be as distracting anymore.

You know what is distracting, though? When said wolf's entrance involves snatching some fruit out of his hand that he had been inspecting.]

What--[Oh, a wolf. How curious...though Cilan does frown slightly.] You know, that's not in good taste to snatch food out of someone's hands. [But does he actually expect a wolf to care about that...]

[Whoa! What a hair color! Ammy licks her chops, but redirects her attention to Cilan's face, tail wag slowing as she stared intently.]

[cilantro]

[...why is it staring at us like that, it's just green hair...]

Ah...is there something else you want? [Is it still hungry?]

[astralpouch]

[Well, she's perpetually hungry, but she keeps staring at that hair! Ammy, it's rude to gawk...]

[cilantro]

[Well, Cilan's not a mind-reader and reading facial cues from her is a little harder than from some Pokemon, but he gets the feeling that it is something about his appearance. Is there something about our face that it's gawking at? Though he can't think of anything worth staring at... Other than his scleraless eyes but that's probably not intended to be noticeable.]

It's also considered rude to stare at people like that, too... [But Cilan reaches into a bag he was carrying for another snack, which he then holds out for her to take--confused or not, if they're hungry, he's definitely not just gonna to let someone starve.] Here, you can have another one if you'd like.

[Oh man, you're giving her food? You're the best, Cilan! She barks, then takes it off of his hand, careful to use soft-mouth. No biting the hand that feeds you! But your hand is completely soaked with wolf drool for your trouble, Cilan.]

[Thank you for not biting us, though Cilan does kind of wince at his hand covered in wolf slobber.]

Well, I'm certainly glad to see that you like them so much. [He'll use his other hand to take out a handkerchief from his pocket and try to clean up his drool-covered hand a little... ^^;;]

[You know what, she appreciates it. She'll bloom a whole bed of flowers at Cilan's feet in thanks, because who doesn't like flowers?]

Oh! [whoa we did not know she could do that. Cilan's actually a little awestruck for a moment as he looks around at the flowers.]

My, I had no idea that you had a talent like that! [He leans down a little to get a better look at the ones by his feet.] To think you were concealing such an amazing taste~!

[Guffaw guffaw. An air of confidence and arrogance crosses her, and she huffs. Of course she is a creature of discerning tastes, she is the glorious god of the sun, after all!!

...Not that Cilan will be able to tell anything other than her blatant smugness.]

[Well in this case, he'll let her have her fifteen minutes, so to speak. Gotta give a wolf that can make flowers spontaneously bloom due credit.]

These flowers you've grown here really are quite lovely--they have a wonderful charm of beauty to them! [Cilan is even willing to offer headpats for her judging by the way he lifts his hand up towards her, but only if she wants them, of course.]

[Oh, pets! She absolutely loves affection, eagerly leaning in to receive it.]

[Yes! Good...wolf we still don't actually know the name of. Erm...well, even if we don't know it's name, it can't hurt to introduce ourselves at least.] The earlier shaky start aside, it really is nice to meet you. I'm Cilan!

[Should he...bother adding the Connoisseur title or would it go right over the wolf's head...]

[Ammy chuffs. Nice to meet you! And then she pulls out her journal (wait where did she pull that from--) and passes it to Cilan. Like all journals, it has the owner's name on it; in this case, "Amaterasu".]

[cilantro]

[Where did it get the journal from...? Oh well, at least it's helpful in knowing her name now.]

"Amaterasu"? [Did he pronounce that right?] I see. In that case, let me say again that it's nice to meet you, Amaterasu!

[She's pleased to meet you too! You're quite polite, it's funny.

She goes back to staring at his hair, though. Man, who even has green hair?]

...What is it? [Why is it still staring at him like that? Cilan doesn't think there's anything above or behind him, otherwise he would have noticed by now.] Is there something on our face?

[But he's pretty sure there shouldn't be, even as he touches the sides of his face just to be sure. Nope, nothing. But if it's not the face, then...] Or is it our hair that's caught your attention?

[Yes, that!]

Ah, I see... [Sometimes he forgets that green hair isn't really common for some people here...] I suppose it's considered a rare taste here to have hair of this color, but I assure you that it was considered relatively normal in Unova.

[It's usually his personality that people don't consider normal more than noting his hair. (If anything, you should see his brothers, they have red and blue hair by comparison.)]

[Unova? She tilts her head at that, sitting down and staring at him expectantly.]

[What--oh, sure, we can clarify a little more.] It's the region I'm from--Unova, that is. I was in Virbank City before I came here to Luceti, which is where the two of us are now. As you can likely see, Luceti has a peculiar flavor to it regarding the wings we've been fitted with upon our arrival here as, by comparison, people in Unova didn't have wings like these. Also, Unova was inhabited by many species of Pokemon, where as Luceti isn't.

[...Should he explain anything further about Unova, Luceti, or Pokemon?]

[Her head just progressively tilts more and more, and she goes slack-jawed.

There's a lot in there that doesn't make any sense, whoopsie.]

...I'm sorry, I guess some of this is a little confusing. [Cilan why did you even think telling a wolf all this would be simple to begin with?] As for what Pokemon are, they're creatures that we lived together with. They have special powers and abilities, and many of us train together with them, including those of us that have a few of our Pokemon here in Luceti.

[Hence why he's willing to attempt talking to a wolf with no concern for how strange that probably looks to most people.]

[Oooh. Yeah, she gets that, she nods! She leans in, expectantly. Do you have one? Do ya, do ya??]

[Of course Cilan has one--he has three, for that matter. But he takes out one pokeball for now, which he then opens to reveal a Pansage that comes out to stand at his feet now.]

This is one of my Pokemon, Pansage. Pansage, this is Amaterasu. [Pansage looks up curiously at the wolf creature, head-tilting a little before holding a paw up in greeting. Nice to meet you?]
