[The Glorious God Amaterasu™ was certainly not expecting to turn a corner and find herself in a completely different world. Or, well, to wake up from a nap and find herself someplace different, more accurately. Maybe she shouldn't have been sleeping on the job while restoring the Celestial Plain? Or she was having a weird dream. Or woke up from a dream. Either way, she didn't feel quite as powerful, the prayers and belief in her from home only barely reaching her.

But enough with the contemplation and moping! Ammy starts roaming around, burying her nose in things and taking food right off the shelves - even out of people's hands. No really, she's not a pig, she has to fill her Astral Pouch!

But she'll inevitably spend most of her day getting into trouble; eating food she shouldn't be taking, snatching something from someone in a fit of relentless curiosity, or just barking endlessly at someone. Bark bark bark.


Enjoy, Luceti, you are now +1 Sun Goddess! Or +1 white wolf, if you aren't a devout believer in gods to see her for what she truly is.]

[She sniffs at the table, disregarding the fellow god for now.]

[Still protective of her food, she eyes the wolf back, her own nose twitching faintly. Not quite sniffing, but close enough to take in Ammy's scent.]

You're a cheeky little thing, aren't you? Stealing food and then ignoring questions like that.

[She absolutely is. She yawns, hopping down off of the table and sitting down. She is totally unapologetic for any of her behavior.]

[Saori can't help it. She reaches out to the wind and swats Ammy softly with a wide eddy of it. Not enough to hurt, just enough to ruffle that fur a bit and show that she's not really 'normal'.]

You need to learn some manners, wolf. If you want food you should just ask, not steal. You can't always rely on being cute to help you out when you've been naughty.

[Whoa. Wind! Ammy ignores her words, and responds by summoning a powerful gust of wind in kind.]

[windandrain]

[Saori lets the wind wash over and around her, and she smiles before replying with another gust of her own, this one a bit more playful and swirling around the wolf.]

So you can control the wind too, can you?

Arf!

[She can! She's Amaterasu, she's got all the powers. She looks at a dead tree in the midst of a group of other trees, and it springs to life in an instant.]

[windandrain]

[Saori claps her hands and beams. Alright, after a display like that she'll forgive you for being a thief, Ammy.]

You...are a spirit then, Okami?

[astralpouch]

[That she is! She pulls out that beginner's journal (from... somewhere...) and tosses it onto the table. On it, of course, is her name: Amaterasu]

[Saori eyes the journal for a moment, tracing her finger down the name and looking from the wolf to the book several times. Amaterasu. Her cousin, the Lady of the Sun, had the same name. But she wasn't a wolf, she had a shape like Saori and most other myojin. Odd coincidence, that.

But then, hadn't both Miyabi and Helios mentioned a wolf-spirit with the same name? The one that had grown the cherry trees Saori had begun tending in Miyabi's absence? May as well ask...because that would be neat!]

[Miyabi, Miyabi... hmm... sounds like the name of a cute girl... maybe? Or was it a little girl. She did play with a lot of children...

[OH WAIT SHE REMEMBERS NOW it only took a full minute.]

[Yeah, from Ponc'tan, though wasn't her name Miya? Eh whatever.]

[Saori lets out a pleased little laugh at Ammy's response. So this was Miyabi's friend! A shame that she'd missed the girl, but that was Luceti's way.]

She told me a lot about you, Amaterasu. And about a previous time, when you'd been here. Do you remember that?

It's fine!

[Whoa wait she was here before? She doesn't remember that at all. Maybe it was her past self? Or, from her future--TIME TRAVEL SHENANIGANS]

[Watching the wolf's...reaction is rather curious. But then, she's been here long enough that parallel lives aren't that odd. Hi Yu/Seta, looking at YOU.]

I guess not? Well, I suppose that's Luceti for you. Sometimes people come and go and come back and forget things. It's sad but true. But I guess that doesn't matter. You're back. Or...here for the first time, and time is odd like that isn't it?

[Oh, she's rambling again]

Well, from what I understand, you planted and grew an entire hill of cherry trees. Or the...other you. Does that sound like something you'd do?

[Yes it does! She looks curious. Where is this hill?]

[An easy enough problem to solve. Saori folds the remains of her lunch back into their bag and stands up]

If you want to see, then come along. It's not too far at all.

[And she'll start off to the north, towards the hill where she'd met Miyabi.]

[Ammy follows, quite curious!]

[As promised, Saori takes Ammy up onto the Cherry Blossom Hill. It's a little late in the year and most of the pink has begun to wither and fade in the summer heat but it's still unmistakably full of cherry trees. Turning, she gestures all around.]

Here we are. I'm told another...you...made this grow.

[astralpouch]

[Makes sense, she totally would! She wags her tail, looking at the trees for a moment...

...Okay yes cool, she can use Deluge. There's a sudden powerful rainstorm in the isolated area, all the raindrops charged with a divine magic, perking the grass and trees up with nourishing life.


Ammy tilts her head. Looks like she's a little more limited - she probably won't be able to do that very often. Good to know.]

[windandrain]

[Saori simply stands there, feeling the consecrated energy flow through the air. It's familiar, and at the same time...different from her own control over her elements. Without a word, Saori stretches out a hand to the sky and calls down more rain, a cleansing, steady downpour over the area that never touches either the goddess or the wolf.

She gives Ammy a small smile, as any doubts of her identity were quelled.]

I've tended this place in Miyabi's absence, but the heat and the barrier restrict what I can do as well. But with you here, we can preserve it with no trouble at all. If that's alright with you, I know it would mean a lot to her, and I know the others here enjoy the shade and peace they find here.
